Famous singers to perform at Black Sea Arena this summer
Within the framework of Check-in Georgia, the Black Sea Arena this summer hosts concerts of such legendary singers as Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jessie J, and the Black Eyed Peas to name a few. Yesterday, on June 16th, the arena hosted an American musical group Black Eyed Peas, who brought their studio album “Masters of the Sun Vol.1”. Since the establishment, the group has sold an estimated 76 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling groups of the time.
Another American rock band from Los Angeles, Thirty Seconds to Mars is scheduled to perform at the Black Sea Arena on August 13th. Founded in 1998, the group consists of brothers Jared and Shannon Leto, however during this time, they have undergone many line-up changes. As of 2014, the band has sold 15 million albums all around the globe. The band is known for its energetic live performances and incorporating elements from a wide range of genres, as well as for spiritual and philosophic lyrics.
On August 6th, Jessie J, an English singer, and songwriter will perform for Georgian and international audience at the arena. Her career began at the age of 11, with a role in the musical Whistle Down the Wind. She became famous after releasing her debut single “Do It Like a Dude,” while her “Price Tag” topped the charts in 19 countries followed by her first album Who You Are in 2011. Next year she performed at Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert and the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in London.
Check-in Georgia is a government-supported project aiming to bring international performers to Georgia to raise tourism in different parts of the country. Additionally, it organizes concerts and events with local artists as well.
